Twinkle Twinkle Indian Desi Styles

I just happened to come across this video, entitled as stated above,
which remixes the infamous "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" in some traditional Indian folk songs,
particularly in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Punjabi styles.

The first portion of the video is taken from a comedy serial which happened to be shown in NTV7 years ago, meanwhile the second might be taken from a movie....

Anyway, enjoy watching it.!!!

3D cross-eye stereograms

A stereogram is an optical illusion of depth created from flat, two-dimensional images. Originally, stereogram referred to a pair of stereo images which could be viewed using stereoscope.

Stereogram was discovered by Charles Wheatstone in 1838. He found an explanation of binocular vision which led him to construct a stereoscope based on a combination of prisms and mirrors to allow a person to see 3D images from two 2D pictures.

Here are some really impressive photos I’ve found on the net and there are hundreds of them. These images do not need stereoscopes to view and can be viewed by slightly defocusing your eyes and then cross them until an image appears in the middle and then relax your eyes to get a stable 3-D image. It’s worth the trouble.

And finally a video stereogram,

Let public benefit from price falls

Source: The Star, Friday November 21, 2008

TINKERING with prices is pretty dangerous business at the best of times especially if the customer is not paying the underlying market price for the product for whatever reason.

In bad times, it becomes explosively risky and the wrong move can have wide-ranging repercussions, as the government found out to its dismay when it hiked fuel prices by some 40% on June 5 and introduced a complex mechanism of rebates to mitigate the effects on some sections of the community.

The country has not quite recovered from that shock and because of prices being sticky downwards - difficult to come down when they go up easily – the impact on inflation has been very severe.

The fuel price and electricity tariff increases, combined with rapidly rising food prices at that time, pushed inflation to a record level in 26 years.

In June, the consumer price index (CPI – the official measure of price increases for consumer goods) was 7.7% higher compared with the level a year ago.

Not only were consumers hit by this directly as food and fuel prices soared, the higher costs would have suppressed economic activity, leading to lower growth in output of goods and services and hence incomes as well.

With 20/20 hindsight, that move to hit Malaysians with a massive two-fifths jump in fuel prices at a time when food prices were already climbing, was disastrous, especially given the spectacular collapse of oil and prices of food components such as vegetable oil, rice and wheat shortly afterwards.

It is a painful reminder that the saying “What goes up must come down” does not apply to prices. Despite all the efforts of the domestic trade and consumer affairs ministry, prices have not budged much although costs of materials have fallen across the board.

That oil price hike represents a case study on how pricing policy should NOT be conceived and implemented and offers some important lessons for forward planning.

First, price shocks should be avoided as much as possible. A 40% increase in fuel prices represented at that time one of the largest single jumps in fuel prices anywhere in the world.

Inevitably, with such a shock, there will be expectations of high inflation and it will give the excuse for all and sundry to raise prices.

True, oil prices (see chart) were reaching new record levels almost everyday but the better thing to have done is to have opted for a gradual increase on the fuel price over a few months instead of trying to capture the effect of the increasing prices in virtually one go.

If that had been done, the government would not have had to increase fuel prices in one jump to the top of RM2.70 a litre for petrol from RM1.92 a litre on June 5 and then bring it down all the way to RM2.00 per litre earlier this week as oil prices fell.

With oil prices at record levels, the Government should have allowed for the possibility of lower oil prices shortly afterwards.

As it is, inflation has risen sharply and the higher costs of energy and poorer sentiment would have affected growth in output, an expensive lesson indeed for Malaysia.

But the Government does not seem to be taking lesson number two. If it wants prices to reflect the underlying market, it must bring fuel prices down when oil prices go down instead of only raising them when they go up – it must be a two-way process.

The public cannot be expected to put up with higher prices and then have the gains limited when oil prices fall.

The gains here must be passed onto the customer as well and not go to the Government through what are effectively increased taxes.

If you are removing subsidies, the fair thing to do is to remove the taxes associated with them as well.

One is hard put to understand why the Government wants to limit the gains to the consumer especially when passing on such gains will increase the disposable income, or money available for spending, of the man on the street. That will contribute to greater output as demand for goods and services increase.

We have already made one mistake when the oil price was going up. Let’s not compound that by making another one when the oil price is going down.

T.Rajendar Speech

Well below is a video from T.Rajendar
( in case some of you don't know him, he is the father of Simbhu a.k.a Silambarasan - or Little Super Star)

Well..
After watching the clip I think we ought to tell him to cut the speech and prove it by making it a reality first.
My verdict, looks like T.R.Silambarasan has an additional of (veteran-turned-young and energetic) hero to compete from now on, beside Thanush, Bharath, Vinay and etc.

What I would say... Good Luck!!!

Man Utd's vs Ronaldo's future!

Just as I said last time,

Man Utd do not need Ronaldo to emerge victorious.
Sell him off to Real for a hefty sum of 70mil pounds.
Use it to settle the debts and invest in training facilities.

And place Rooney, Berbatov and Tevez as the striking forces, with two great wings Giggs and Nani.
Midfield we have loads of talented players, from veteran Scholes to new lads Hargreaves, Anderson, Possebon, and many others.
Defenders, there are a loads of new faces from the academy.
Keepers, there are six of them, where some of them are really talented ( Van der Saar, Kuszczak ), and the new arrivals soon to join the list.

So, if Ronaldo wanna leave MU to join Real, so be it.
Man Utd not going to lose anything buy selling this one so-called Platinum, when they have loads of Golds and Silvers in the squad.

But the fact is, if Ronaldo is keen to continue to have the same attention seeking attitude in Real Madrid, for sure he'll be ditched out cause Real, the richest club with the most star players from all around the world, won't be tolerating it as much as Manchester United did.

------------------------source: thesun.co.uk ---------------------------------

A FASCINATING scenario is being played out at Old Trafford.
While Cristiano Ronaldo seems weighed down by the fall-out from the summer’s Real Madrid transfer saga, Wayne Rooney looks a new man.
Almost as if he has been liberated by Ronaldo’s travails.
For two years, almost from the moment he was sent off (with some connivance from the Winker) at Germany 2006, Rooney has been blowing hot and cold in Ronaldo’s slipstream.
Now, though, Rooney’s instinct tells him it’s time to regain the crown.
That Ronaldo has been psychologically affected by the events of the summer. That the double Footballer of the Year is unsure exactly what United fans feel about him.
That, with Dimitar Berbatov still to settle and Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes in the autumn of their glittering careers, he has to pick up the baton.
We have seen a huge maturing in a player who is still only 22. He seems to relish the new-found responsibility he has placed on himself.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo frets. In time, Alex Ferguson may even regret not accepting the 70million Madrid put on the table. In the prevailing economic climate, they won’t be offered the same amount this summer.

Modifications on the Appearance

Hi fellas,

I was just browsing through some blogs today, then I'd noticed that our blog's appearance was not been updated at all.

Therefore, I start with refurbishing it, first by inserting a picture which I think would be suitable for our blog.
So any comments, how is it!?
Do you like it? or maybe you can post a different picture which you think would be appropriate.

And by the way, remember the topic last time, about changing our blog's title?
So, instead of changing it, I just thought of adding on a bit to
"ShareView: The Elemental".

The meaning:
"A force thought to be physically manifested by occult means"
- which could be applied to our blog which promotes out of the box thinking and to our-cobloggers, whom will always comes up with unique and exclusive posts.

And once again I do need your opinions..!

Arigatou Gozaimashita.

Welcome to WALL STREET

I had came across a new blog "OutSyed the Box" by former TheSun columnist, Syed Akbar Ali. Don't be mistaken the name with the Home Minister, Dr.Syed Hamid Albar.

Hence, there is a post titled "US Dollar Almighty - Part 1" The article is about the current US economic crisis, what is the true cause of this crisis and how does it affected the whole world. It is a very interesting and informative indeed.
But what I want to share here is a comment posted by one of the commenters, as pasted below.

------------------------------------------------------
Once upon a time in a village in India, a man announced to the villagers that he would buy monkeys for $10.

The villagers seeing there were many monkeys around, went out to the forest and started catching them. The man bought thousands at $10, but, as the supply started to diminish, the villagers stopped their efforts.

The man further announced that he would now buy at $20. This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys again.

Soon the supply diminished even further and people started going back to their farms. The offer rate increased to $25 and the supply of monkeys became so little that it was an effort to even see a monkey, let alone catch it!

The man now announced that he would buy monkeys at $50! However, since he had to go to the city on some business, his assistant would now act as buyer, on his behalf.

In the absence of the man, the assistant told the villagers: 'Look at all these monkeys in the big cage that the man has collected. I will sell them to you at $35 and when he returns from the city, you can sell them back to him for $50.'

The villagers squeezed together their savings and bought all the monkeys.
Then they never saw the man or his assistant again, only monkeys everywhere!

The above narration may sounds funny, but this is what really happening in the world of investments.
And I presume this type of oppurtunists not to be found in Wall Street only....

UFOs have been visiting earth since 1947, claims experts

Source: New Straits Times

Unconfirmed reports of UFOs or unidentified flying objects — the popular term for any aerial phenomenon that cannot immediately be identified — date back to ancient times.

However, now, a British expert has claimed that UFOs do exist and have been on Earth since 1947. Philip Mantle, the Editor of UFO Data Magazine, came to the conclusion after investigating the site in Roswell, New Mexico, where many people believe that there was actually an alien crash in the 1940s, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.

In fact, he analysed rock, earth and vegetation in the area, surrounded by charred trees and bushes and a mysterious blue substance that dribbles down rocks, in this study.Even in the area in the Nogal Canyon that is close to the well-known Socorro desert site, experts say another object appeared to have landed in 1964.

“A good friend of mine Ed Gerham first found the site and I flew over as soon as I could. It was a real find and as soon as I arrived there I knew what a special and peculiar place it was. There is nothing around it for around 70 miles, it is literally in the middle of nowhere.“Brits really have beaten the Americans at their own game and it is really great that we have done that. It really is revolutionary for the UFO world,” Mantle was quoted by ’The Daily Telegraph’ as saying. He is set to reveal his full findings at the UFO Data Annual Conference later this month in Leeds.

Evidence of Life in Mars? Part 2

Hi people,

It always cool and mesmerizes us whenever a topic about astronomy is been brought up. Same goes for UFO sighting and evidence on extra-terrestrial (or E.T.)

So pertaining the title,
I did checked up in the URL from the previous post, "just for further clarification on the picture smudging matter". Because I wanted to check whether is it truly a coincidence due to bad pixels or was the original photo is smudged?

Hence i found the picture of the Hale Crater, but this time it was taken from a different angle.

So i just did a little bit of touch up as told ( i mean reduce the brightness and increase the contrast ) and it appears as such - see below.

If we look within the crater area, we could easily spot the slightly greenish area at a particular section, couldn't we? And when I just zoomed it, and yes we really can observe some fine architectural construction, same as shown as in the previous post.

Therefore, I think we should be able to conclude that it is not due to some bad pixels, and that something fishy is going on there, cause both pictures (which are taken from different angles) not only show the identical textures, but also at the same section of the crater.

But my question is, why does ESA published this photos in the first place, if it truly an evidence of ET? Cause for sure they would know that some photo expects will try to analyze it, don't they? Or are they just having other plan in mind publishing it?

Evidence of Life in Mars?

Hi guys,

Many of us find it hard to believe in Extra-terrestrial beings.

I have made many statements to my friends regarding this issue, and many have asked me to prove it. This post will attempt prove two statements :
1. US/Euro Governments know about the UFO phenomenon, but are covering it up.
2. Mars is not a dead planet.

First, go to the ESA (European Space Agency) website. These guys are the Euro version of NASA. Enter the webpage for their Mars Express project. Here is the link : http://www.esa.int/esaMI/Mars_Express/

The Mars Express project is a probe sent to orbit Mars, take photos, and image the entire planet. However, we are interested in just a single photo.

Click on "Mars Express Images", and search for "Crater Hale" in the search box. All photos on Crater Hale will show up. Download the image "Crater Hale in perspective, looking west".

As you can see, this photo is a clear picture taken with a extremely Hi-Definition camera. However, to detect photo tampering, we need to do 2 things with this picture :
1. Reduce the brightness.
2. Increase the contrast.

Here is the result :

To actually see the modifications, we need to zoom in :

As can be seen, these are planned structures that resemble a city. This photo has been 'photoshopped' by the ESA to remove these structures. But there is no such thing as a perfect photo tampering. A simple contrast change, and all the modifications will show up, like in this case.

Tak a closer look to the top left of the zoomed photo. It appears to have been "smudged". This is another obvious evidence of image tampering.

Some people might say that those green strutures are bad pixels. This is easily debunked :
1. The camera is of extremely high quality. Bad pixels dont happen.
2. Can a bad pixel be 'smudged'? (see top left)

Why is the ESA/NASA taking so many measures to hide all this from us? I dont know. The only answer would be avoiding mass public panic, but this does not make sense. Or something more sinister is going on that we dont know about?

Divide and Rule

We have all been thought in our history lessons that the British practised "divide and rule" tactic during the colonialisation era. Although, it is true to some extent, it is not true completely. In fact, in the years prior to the independence, they were actually working towards uniting the Malayans.
In 1945, The Malayan Union was formed and gave equal rights to people who wished to apply for citizenship. It was automatically granted to people who were born in any state in British Malaya or Singapore and were living there before 15 February 1942. It faced opposition due to the methods Sir Harold MacMichael used to acquire the Sultans’ approval, the reduction of the Sultans’ powers, and the granting of citizenship to non-Malay immigrants and their descendants.
Then in 1949 Communities Liaison Committee was established, comprising the top Malayan politicians from different communities, to address sensitive issues, especially those related to ethnicity. However, CLC compromised on a number of issues, including citizenship, education, democracy, and Malay supremacy and set the stage for Malayan independence.
Later, the 1951 Barnes report recommended the setting up of one type of school and that vernacular schools be demolished. These schools would use the Malay language and English as their medium of instruction. But this was not accepted by the chinese community. The British gave in and revived Chinese schools.
It was not the British that created the basis of our racial divide but the people themselves who wanted to stay divided. The politicians had further divided the people for their own agenda to stay in power.
One such example is the expellation of Dato’ Onn bin Ja'afar from United Malays National Organization or UMNO. He was disgusted with what he considered to be UMNO's communalist policies, and called for party membership to be opened to all Malayans, and for UMNO to be renamed as the United Malayans National Organisation. However, he too faced opposition internally from fellow politicians which led to his resignation from the party.
Politicians too are to be blamed for the infamous race riots in May,13 1969.
Luckily, today, the people have become a little more sensible. When will the politicians change?

Introduction to "spinning"

Hi friends,

Please don't mistake this article for lesson on spinning top (gasing), or spinning wool or anything.

Of late, I've came across few popular blogs which have highlighted this topic. So, I thought it might be interesting to share the knowledge with you all.

According to Che Det:
"Spinning is the art of making all reports, especially the bad ones, look good for the subject concerned and vice versa. Even the picture can be spun by choosing the ones that will make the subject appear masterly and talking down to his companion. ."

"Spinning may include misreporting, or excluding certain parts or twisting the sentences to convey another meaning."

Based on my own experience, i would also add another point to the above list, which is:

"Spinning may also include lying and tokok tambah (adding up / spicing up) reports in order to make it look good"

Okay, enough with introductions. Now lets look at some examples of spinning.

Picture below is a news clipping from The Star Online today, regarding the release of Sheih Kickdefella.

Click on picture for enlarged view

In the last paragraph of their report, they have "reproduced" what Sheih Kickdefella have posted on his blog immediately after his release. Now let's look at the original post on Kickdefella's blog:
Click on picture for enlarged view

Did you spot the difference? Seems like they missed out the last paragraph.

Of course, it would be very embarrassing for our PM if The Star published the exact message from the blog, which also contains the words..."Till then, rest assured, I have kick Dollah again as soon as I was released. You can ask the press."

Okay, time for another example..(borrowed from RockyBru)

The news clippings below are essentially the same news article published by Bernama &NST.

Bernama new clipping:
Click on picture for enlarged view

And now the NST Online news clipping:
Click on picture for enlarged view

Did you notice it? In the Bernama news, when Najib was asked about nomination for president's post, he only said that he's already agreed to the succession plan and will leave it the party; and he hopes that the party will accept it. (...didn't talk about nomination matter)

But, according to NST, Najib was also reported saying that he will not accept any nomination for the president's post. Something that was missing from Bernama news.

How is that possible that two leading, pro-government news papers report things diferently? Probably, one of them wanted to create an image that Najib was totally committed to the PM's succession plan and will not challenge him in the party polls at the end of the year.
Who knows?

It only shows that the spin-doctors of both newspapers are not working in synch.

There are other numerous examples you can find, if you look closely.

Let's see if you can spot more...

A mathematician organizes a raffle in which the prize is an infinite amount of money paid over an infinite amount of time. Of course, with the promise of such a prize, his tickets sell like hot cake. When the winning ticket is drawn, and the jubilant winner comes to claim his prize, the mathematician explains the mode of payment: "1 dollar now, 1/2 dollar next week, 1/3 dollar the week after that..."

"Divide fourteen sugar cubes into three cups of coffee so that each cup has an odd number of sugar cubes in it."
"That's easy: one, one, and twelve."
"But twelve isn't odd!"
"It's an odd number of cubes to put in a cup of coffee..."

A graduate student of mathematics who used to come to the university on foot every day arrives one day on a fancy new bicycle.
"Where did you get the bike from?" his friends want to know.
"It's a `thank you' present", he explains, "from that freshman girl I've been tutoring. But the story is kind of weird..."
"Tell us!"
"Well", he starts, "yesterday she called me on the phone and told me that she had passed her math final and that she wanted to drop by to thank me in person. As usual, she arrived at my place riding her bicycle. But when I had let her in, she suddenly took all her clothes off, lay down on my bed, smiled at me, and said: `You can get from me whatever you desire!'
" One of his friends remarks: "You made a really smart choice when you took the bicycle."
"Yeah", another friend adds, "just imagine how silly you would have looked in a girl's clothes - and they wouldn't have fit you anyway!"

A group of mathematicians and a group of engineers are traveling together by train to attend a conference on mathematical methods in engineering. Each engineer has a ticket whereas only one of the mathematicians has one. Of course, the engineers laugh at the unworldly mathematicians and look forward to the moment the conductor shows up.
Suddenly one of the mathematicians shouts: "Conductor coming!"
All the mathematicians disappear into one washroom. The conductor checks the ticket of each engineer and then knocks at the washroom door: "Your ticket, please."
The mathematicians stick the one ticket they have under the door, the conductor checks it and leaves. A few minutes later, when it is safe, the mathematicians come out of the washroom.
The engineers are impressed. When the conference has come to an end, the engineers decide that they are at least as smart as the mathematicians and also buy just one ticket for the whole group.
This time the mathematicians have no ticket at all... Again one of the mathematicians shouts: "Conductor coming!".
All the engineers rush off to one washroom. One of the mathematicians goes to that washroom, knocks at the door, and says: "Your ticket, please..."

In a class, a math professor claims that he can prove everything under the assumption that 1+1=1.
A student challenges him: "Then prove that you're the pope!"
He ponders for a moment and then replies: "I am one, and the pope is one. Therefore, the pope and I are one."

In a dark, narrow alley, a function and a differential operator meet:

"Try it - I'm ex..."

Same alley, same function, but a different operator:
"Get out of my way - or I'll differentiate you till you're zero!"
"Try it - I'm ex..."
"Too bad... I'm d/dy."

Pak Lah's economic reckoning

Our beloved Pak Lah had contributed more than enough for our economy...in terms of damages since he took office.
Now that he had swapped portfolio with Najib, how will the Ministry of Defense fare?

18 Sept, 2008
WALL STREET JOURNAL ASIA
Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced this week that he has enough parliamentary support to unseat the current government, led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. If he does, Abdullah's lacklustre economic management will be largely to blame.
The prime minister has not introduced any substantive reforms during his nearly five years in office, preferring to rely instead on opening up the government purse. Under the Ninth Malaysia Plan announced in 2005, he expanded public-sector spending to RM200 billion annually from RM160 billion. In his Midterm Plan Review this year, he increased this outlay to RM240 billion. The national debt now stands at RM285 billion, up from RM192 billion in 2004. The official fiscal deficit has risen to 4.8% of GDP this year, from 3.2% last year. Revenue is being spent faster than it is coming in.
It's hard to argue that these outlays have served the broad public interest. Much of the funding has been channelled to elites in the majority Malay community, under the country's pro-Malay affirmation action programme. That has created discontent with many Malay who don't see the full benefits of the programme, and among the minority Chinese and Indians, who are excluded from it altogether.
Abdullah's stewardship has had a real impact on the economy. Capital flight has risen sharply; Malaysian investment abroad now exceeds inward foreign investment. The Kuala Lumpur stock exchange has lost almost one-fifth of its value this year to date. Malaysia's currency, the ringgit, saw its biggest one-month loss last month since the end of the dollar peg in 2005. Although GDP growth has averaged a robust 5% annual growth under Abdullah, that record is now under threat. Inflation reached a record 8.5% this summer. Job creation has reached record lows, as unemployment, particularly among young majority Malays, remains high. Ironically, only the opposition-led state governments are attracting new foreign investment — and without the federal government's help, no less.
Abdullah's 2004 attempts to promote growth and investment — such as through the promotion of the biotechnology and agricultural industries — have failed. He also fumbled discussions with the United States on a free trade agreement, which have now stalled. What Malaysia really needs is education reform and the liberalisation of its labour markets to improve its economic competitiveness.
The political opposition, in the form of Anwar and his Pakatan Rakyat coalition, have seized on these issues. They have promised to root out corruption and to implement a new economic policy to address the concerns of all ethnic communities in Malaysia. Their platform aims to move beyond populist spending to introduce structural reforms in government procurement programmes and in the management of government-linked companies.
When Abdullah assumed office in 2004, he inherited an economy in need of structural reform. Malaysians have had to pay for his poor stewardship through higher prices, stagnating wages and growing private sector debt. Soon, Abdullah may have to pay the political price for that record.

Hai rakan-rakan sekalian...

Alright, enough of writing in BM, i think the structure of the sentences had gone a little bit haywire. Hope y'all can understand it.. . he he

But what's important is it's content

By the way, do any of you would like to suggest to rename our Blog... to make it more stylish and attractive? Please drop by your suggestions for the title. Once, decided i shall send the "Title Change Approval Request" to our admin - Shashi.

Once again folks, Let's enjoy some healthy blogging...

Mythbusters: How Does Your Right Foot Deceives You

The Myth:

Just try this. It is from an orthopedic surgeon.......

This will boggle your mind and you will keep trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your right foot, but, you can't. It's preprogrammed in your brain!

1. WITHOUT anyone watching you (they will think you are GOOFY) and while sitting where you are at your desk in front of your computer,
lift your right foot off the floor and make Clockwise Circles.

2. Now......while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your Right Hand. Your foot will change direction.

____________________________________________________________________________________________

The Mythbusters:

Rather than saying it is preprogrammed in our ROM

The fact is, both our right hand and right foot shares the same output port. As we look into the above case;

To rotate our right foot clockwise, let’s say for this we give an output Signal A. And it is observed that our foot will be rotating in clockwise direction. Next, we want to draw a "6" on our right hand , let say this as output Signal B. Hence the focus will be on the drawing of the "6", and the earlier signal A has been overwritten by Signal B. The outcome, we can see that our hand is indeed continuously drawing "6" without realizing that our right foot rotation had changed direction, making counter-clockwise circles. To test again, send again Signal A to our right foot, and observe what is the consequence to our right hand.

If you still do not believe the output port sharing theory, then just try this.

Rotate your right foot in clockwise direction, and this time draw the "6" with your left hand instead. Did you notice that your left hand is drawing the "6" as per requested and also your right foot keep rotating in the clockwise direction without having any interference.

This proves that our left hand and right foot are NOT sharing the same output port.

Ok, if you all have anything to comment on, please do so.... let's have a healthy blogging.

Devils Buried !!?

Oh my God...

What a lousy performances by our European Champions against the rivals!!

Striking force at the start was fabulous but soon drops below par, Midfields really seems too oblivious and Defends had lot of loopholes.
New-star Berbatov couldn't or didn't shine in his first appearance, maybe still lacks in team chemistry.

Anyhow, it just the beginning of the season.
What will happen towards the end still can't be predicted at the moment.

And last but not least, even though Liverpool is our rival team, but we need to admit that Liverpool did put up a great performance;
smooth passing and accurate attacks (and nice finishing by Babel too)

Look what's Cooking in the All Time US Top Movie Grossing!!!

This summer's best Top Grossing Movie is none other than Christopher Nolan's Batman : The Dark Knight.

Short summary of the movie:
Batman follows his ideology of only to punish the criminals and bring them in front of justice. And he strongly believes that revenge is not the ideal solution as it will eventually leads to emptiness.

Then enters a new criminal in town, the psychotic Joker, who had the exact opposite ideology of his, and destroying everything he had done to keep the Gotham City as a peaceful city. So the movie focuses on who's ideology is to suffice in the end.

Till date this movie had collected an amount of USD 513 million (and still counting) in the US Box Office and had overtook the Star Wars: A New Hope (Star Wars IV)- USD460million, which had been clinging at the No. 2 for about 10 years.

But the All Time Top Grossed Movie is the 1997 blockbuster movie - inspired by the Unsinkable Ship - "Titanic" which is still holding it's record of USD600 million.

Well... Lets' just see whether The Dark Knight could wrestle and claim Titanic's 11 years held throne...

Let's Take a Short Break From Politics-- WatchThis

Noticed that the last few posts have been peppered liberally with nationalism issues.

Just to lighten things up; something cute amidst the name calling- photo tearing incidents, ISA and lets-see-wat-happens-on-sept16-wait. :)

Badawi's final desperate moves

Picture grabbed from Malaysiakini

RPK @ Pete arrested under ISA (12/09/2008 1:15pm)

The news didn't come as a surprise for me since I was expecting it to happen at any time. Badawi has started to resort to his final desperate moves.
He desperately needed to do something to stop this blogger from "spreading more lies; seditious, racist or religiously insensitive remarks targetted against the BN government". Recently, the government had tried to block RPK's online portal but the move had backfired on them. It came under fire for breaking its own promise of "no censorship of internet". However, yesterday, the goverment withdrew its instruction to block the site....not without reason.
Finally, they've resorted to detain Pete under ISA; A draconian law which allows for detention of a person without trial.....very unfair!!!

Picture grabbed from The Star

Sin Chew Daily journalist, Tan Hoon Cheng arrested under ISA (12/09/2008 8:30pm)

Tan H.C is the second person to get arrested today under ISA . She was alleged to have created "public unrest" by honestly reporting Datuk Ahmad Ismail's racist remark on chinese. The latter even refused to apologize for calling the citizens of Chinese origin as "pendatang". And what he got was just a 3-years suspension....what a fair punishment!!!

Besides that, three Malaysian newspapers - Sin Chew Daily, The Sun and Suara Keadilan - were also issued show cause letters by the Home Ministry. The ISA drag-net is expected to widen with more arrests. If im not mistaken, the next target would be Tan Siok Choo, The sun columnist for publishing an article titled "Politically blind and tone deaf?". wanna bet?

I'm just so disgusted with the way the government is trying to "silence" its critics. Why RPK? and why Tan HC? Why not Ahmad Ismail who played the racial cards and showed 'total lack of remorse' even when Badawi told him to apologise? Wasn't Ahmad a big "THREAT" to the country too? People like Ahmad Ismail and Mahathir can stir racial issues to dangerous levels and still walk free. While, people like RPK gets arrested under ISA for writing a few articles critical of the BN government. Where is Justice??

What If yoU n I did This???

Pictures courtesy Kwong Wah Yit Poh

Why are our leaders like this?..

Was it our mistake for electing them?...

History tells us at;
There were hundreds of followers for Prophet Muhammad, that was because they believed in His teachings as He was said to be the messenger of GOD...

And when thousands of Indians gathered and marched behind Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi , they were influenced by his demand for immediate independance from the British.

But wat this guys have in them for us?... Is their action beneficiary in any way to any Malaysian?

When they behave so uncivilized n barbaric, what should the public do?..

Or lets narrow down to, wat could we do?...
Lets not just ignore it....
I've chose to share and listen to your comments..

What is the difference between an animals DNA and a plants DNA ?

There are lots of differences between animal & plant DNA, but what they are depends on at what you are looking.

Chemically, plant, human, animal, bacteria, fungi, and even many viruses
have identical DNA. DNA is composed of a backbone made from deoxyribose
(A sugar) and phosphate. The individual base pairs that encode the
genetic information are adenine, guanine, cytosine, and thymine (AGCT). A
base pairs with T, and G base pairs with C, which defines specificity for
DNA, and allows one strand to direct the replication of an exact
complementary strand, so an organism can make another set of DNA and
divide/reproduce. This was elegently demonstrated by Meselson & Stahl, a
observation for which they recieved a Nobel Prize, and it agreed perfectly
with the Watson & Crick model of DNA.

So, in many ways, structurally, chemically, and in the nature of
reproduction/synthesis, plant DNA and animal DNA are very similar, if not
identical. So much so, that when we place genes from plants and animals
inside of bacteria, they will often follow those instructions and produce
a foreign protein instead. This is how human insulin for the treatment of
diabetes is produced in a bacteria.

The main difference between plant and animal DNA is in the
organization of genes and the size of the total genome, or how many base
pairs of DNA the organism has. As a rule, plants tend to have much larger
genomes than their animal counterparts, and they have a larger portion of
garbage and intron DNA. Very few genes are present in this DNA, and it
tends to contain regions that are spliced out, or perhaps serve a
structural role in the shape, packing, and placement of the genome.
In terms of size for example, the human genome contains about 3-4
billion base pairs of DNA, whereas corn or maize, is perhaps a less
complex organism contains a similar number of base pairs. Some pine trees
and lilly plants contain 10-100 times as much DNA as a human, most of
which does not appear to encode any genes.

The manner in which DNA is chemically modified in the cell is
different in plants and animals. Although many of the same modifications
occur in both plants and animals, such as adding methyl (CH3) groups to
the DNA, occurs under different circumstances or for different reasons.

Who said our uncle Sam is stupid?

One more MIC president's land scam is revealed...by Malaysia Today.

Back in 2005, our beloved Uncle Sam had bought a piece of state land in somewhere around Petaling jaya. Well, as a Malaysian citizen he has every right to purchase any vacant land in non-reserved area. However, in order to complete the deal cheap, he has to purchase the land as state land. And to qualify for one, he simply used MIC's name to buy it. And to make sure that MIC would not cheat him of his 'rights', he registered his name on the title as the beneficiary and with MIC as the mere trustee (pemegang amanah).

So, what's wrong with this land deal? You see, that piece of land is actually worth about RM52 million. And by declaring it as a state land the deal is completed for just RM3.8 million....and not forgetting that the real beneficiary of the land is none other than himself.

Who said our uncle Sam is stupid? He just made RM 48.2 million with a stroke of pen!!

English Premier League is no longer an English!!!

There is an article in www.thesun.co.uk
titled "Dr Death carries a fatal disease" refering to the latest shocking news of Manchester City F.C. been bought over by a foreigner, an Arabian tycoon, named Dr. Sulaiman, from Abu Dhabi United Groups.

Besides having several others foreigners who owns the premier league clubs, which consists of Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Portsmouth, Fulham, Aston Villa and West Ham, now Manchester City becomes a latest addition to this list.

Well, it can be said that Football is one of Britain's main source of income , as it's popularity has flooded all over the world. Till date, can we spot any country who do not know the existence of Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, and etc?

And by the emerging of this foreign buyers to own the highly profitable clubs, it is for sure that only a portion of the profit could stay in Britain itself, whereas the rest shall be invested by the owners in some other places. Hence by this, Britain may have the tendency of losing one of it vital source of income.

But if we analyze closely, this type of colonialism is not much different than the colonialization of Britain during their Imperialism era.....

Try Asking This Guy to 'wait a sec'

Arabian interests on Manchester City!

Shocking news in EPL!!!

Abu Dhabi United Groups had bought over Thaksin Shinawatra's Manchester City Football Club for 200 million pounds.

Now City, loaded with fortune, had bought over Robinho for a record fee of 32.5 million pounds.
Previous record was held by Chelsea for Andriy Shevchenko for a sum of 30 million pounds.

They even tried their pursue on Berbatov for 32mil, but if you read my earlier post,
Manchester United, who wouldn't barge from their 25 mil bid for Berbatov, had made a quick move in to seal the transfer of Berba for 30.75mil, 0.75mil than the earlier Spurs' request...

They are also tried their luck on David Villa(Valencia), Mario Gomez(Stuttgart) but unsuccessful as the transfer window had closed.

Well now it seems that Manchester City could overtake Chelsea as the EPL's richest Club, soon overtake Real Madrid as the World's Richest Club!!!!

Now Football aren't merely for sporty entertainment, but more than meet the eyes...!!!

Nowadays main investments are from real estates to products and now on football clubs!!

Finally --------- Berbatov signs for Man Utd

MANCHESTER UNITED finally landed Dimitar Berbatov after a transfer deadline day of high drama.
Furious Spurs NEVER gave United permission to talk to the striker.

But they eventually agreed a 」31million deal just before midnight and were persuaded not to make an official complaint.

Spurs had earlier accepted a 」34m bid from Manchester City.

But City’s new Arab to make City one of the richest clubs in the world.

Yesterday morning they were taken over by a group led by Al Fahim and backed by the Abu Dhabi royal family.

By last night they looked to have had one of the most sought-after players in the world and someone Chelsea had been chasing all summer.

Robinho, 24, would immediately become City’s highest wage earner on a 」100,000-a-week deal over four years.

He began his career in Brazil playing for Santos from 2002-05 before moving to Real where he played 104 games scoring 44 goals.

He has also hit 11 in 42 games for his country.

The signing shows the new owners are intent on knocking Alex Ferguson and Manchester United off their perch.

They swung into action with a series of bids worth more than 」130million. That included an audacious attempt to snatch Dimitar Berbatov.

As well as Robinho they made moves for Valencia’s David Villa and Mario Gomez at Stuttgart.

Al Fahim said: our goal is very simple — to make Manchester City the biggest club in the Premier League and, to begin with, to finish in the top four this season.

Funds are available and transfers such as these show we are serious.

We haven’t had a lot of time, but our idea is to bring in more players during the next transfer window. I don’t want to put a figure on what will be available, like 」100m, because more than that might be needed.・

Al Fahim made it clear they backed current boss Mark Hughes to see through their plans. He said: We are happy with him. He has our support.

Alien abduction or a hoax?

Hi guys.

This is my first post. I promised to post something interesting and unique. Here it is.

Below is a documentary featuring a security video of a store. The time is 11.16pm and a worker is closing up the place for the night. When he opens the back gate and walks outside there is an instant, blinding flash of light and all of the security cameras are temporarily knocked out for a few seconds.

The video runs for another 1 hour 50 minutes until 1.06am when there is another blinding white flash and all the cameras again get knocked out. When they resume function the aforementioned worker can be seen lying in a fetal position nearby to where he disappeared. He then leans up, vomits, then staggers off disorientated.

The cameras knocked out is the effect of EMP, which renders all electronic equipment useless and is used in the military. However, this man was missing for 2 hours. After this incident he quit his job. The video submitter refused to reveal who the man was.

The Ancient Seven Wonders of the World!!

Now that the modern seven wonders of the world is officially announced on July 7, 2007,
which consists of
1) Great Wall, China
2) Machu Picchu, Peru
3) Taj Mahal, India
4) Chichen Itza, Mexico
5) Colosseum, Italy
6) Petra, Jordan
7) Christ the Redeemer, Brazil
And the special Honourary Candidate : Great Pyramid, Egypt.

But do some of us knows that original/The Ancient Seven Wonders of the World.
Well, if not, here's the facts... the Remarkable Human Architectures

---------------- Source: LiveScience ---------------

1 The Great Pyramid at Giza, Egypt

The Great Pyramid at Giza is both the oldest ancient wonder and the only one still standing today. It was built as a mausoleum for the pharaoh Khufu around 2650 BC and for over 4,000 years remained the world's tallest structure.

2 The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Iraq

According to legend, 6th-century Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar had a colossal maze of waterfalls and dense vegetation planted across his palace for a wife, who missed her lush homeland. Archaeologists still debate the garden's existence.

3 The Statue of Zeus at Olympia, Greece

Built around 450 BC and 40 feet tall, the seated figure of Greece's Olympic deity was the country's most revered piece of art. Zeus was so impressive that games' visitors routinely wept at its sight and the Roman emperor Caligula tried to steal it.

4 The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, Turkey

Even the ancient historians who saw and compiled the list of wonders couldn't believe the immense beauty of the marble Temple of Artemis, built in 550 BC by a local king. It was set ablaze a few centuries later by a man seeking fame.

5 The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, Turkey

Built for a king of little note, this glorified headstone made the list for its incredible marble and gold details, reportedly awe-inspiring to any who saw it. The 4th-century BC monument was eventually dismantled and its stones used in other local building.

6 The Colossus of Rhodes, Greece

This statue of the God Helios presided for just 60 years over the harbor entrance on Rhodes, but that was long enough to create a legend. People came to see its 100 feet of ruins for years after it was felled by an earthquake in 226 BC.

7 The Lighthouse of Alexandria, Egypt

Both practical and beautiful, the 400-foot lighthouse at the mouth of Alexandria harbor started guiding sailors home around 250 BC. A fire made the lighthouse glow at night and a mirror reflected sun rays during the day, some say up to 35 miles away.
