Who said our uncle Sam is stupid?

One more MIC president's land scam is revealed...by Malaysia Today.

Back in 2005, our beloved Uncle Sam had bought a piece of state land in somewhere around Petaling jaya. Well, as a Malaysian citizen he has every right to purchase any vacant land in non-reserved area. However, in order to complete the deal cheap, he has to purchase the land as state land. And to qualify for one, he simply used MIC's name to buy it. And to make sure that MIC would not cheat him of his 'rights', he registered his name on the title as the beneficiary and with MIC as the mere trustee (pemegang amanah).

So, what's wrong with this land deal? You see, that piece of land is actually worth about RM52 million. And by declaring it as a state land the deal is completed for just RM3.8 million....and not forgetting that the real beneficiary of the land is none other than himself.

Who said our uncle Sam is stupid? He just made RM 48.2 million with a stroke of pen!!

Hey bro,

That piece of land is actually located at BU11/1, Bandar utama, set next to SJK(T) Effingham....(high profile area. The land is very valuable there)

The Selangor govt acquired 24,000 sq metres of the land from the developer, to allocate for the Tamil school & other public amenities. This land we're talking about is part of it. Once declared as state land, the land can be acquired cheap as long as its for public use.

However, if the land had been designated for public use, it should not be sold or transferred to any individual or political party. So, the first law is broken here.

MIC secretary-general Datuk Dr S. Subramaniam had quickly came to the rescue & clarified that the land was owned by the party and there was "an error in the description of the proprietor" in the land title. Can you believe that MIC made such a silly mistake & all these while never realized it? It seems they overlooked the error in proprietor name which should have been “MIC” instead of “Samy Vellu“. Had they not realized that the one stood to benefit from the land is Samy vellu, and not MIC?

So after all this frauds, what would become of that land?

Is it that the land would be used for public amenities purpose as mentioned in the agreement or will it become a profit making commercial land for some people?

If Uncle Sam says that once a land is bought and agreement is made, the govt could not take it back.
Well it is true indeed, but unless ACA comes into pictures, and proves the corruption, then they have the full rights to cancel the ownership, right?
